All the Colours of the World Are Between Black and White

About the Film

All the Colours of the World Are Between Black and White is a touching film that follows the story of Bambino, a delivery driver in Lagos, who has settled into a simple life as a single man. However, everything changes when he meets Bawa, a charismatic photographer, during a photo competition. The two men hit it off immediately, and soon their friendship blossoms into something deeper. Nigerian director Babatunde Apalowo uses subtle visual language to tell the story of two men who discover love in a society that does not accept their relationship. The film's restrained and tender approach captures the characters' cautious dance around each other, highlighting their subtle gestures and glances. As Bawa looks at Bambino through his camera lens, it becomes clear that he sees more than just a subject and they spark an intimate connection. However, in a society where same-sex relationships are taboo and can result in violence, the two men must navigate their feelings carefully. All the Colours of the World Are Between Black and White is a quietly and beautifully told portrait of unjustly forbidden love. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of love, acceptance, and the beauty of human connection.
