Join us at The Africa Center on Thursday, March 28th at 7:00PM ET for Film at The Africa Center screening of Freda.

Freda lives with her family in a popular neighborhood of Port-au-Prince. They make ends meet thanks to their small street shop. Faced with precarious living conditions and the rise of violence in Haiti, each of them wonders whether to stay or leave, but Freda is determined to believe in the future of her country.

In partnership with the African Film Festival, Film at The Africa Center hosts a series showcasing a selection of films by emerging African filmmakers. These films will reflect a range of genres, themes, and visual styles, allowing audiences to experience the vibrant tapestry of African cinema.
