Join us at The Africa Center on Wednesday, December 14th at 7:00PM ET for Film at The Africa Center screening of Lamb.

Lamb tells the story of young Ephraim, a half-Jewish, Ethiopian boy who is sent by his father to live among distant relatives after his mother’s death. Ephraim uses his cooking skills to carve out a place among his cousins, but when his uncle decides that his beloved sheep must be sacrificed for the next religious feast, he will do anything to save the animal and return home. Join us after the film for a Q&A with the Director Yared Zeleke and filmmaker Jessica Beshir.

In partnership with the African Film Festival, Film at The Africa Center will host a series showcasing a selection of films by renowned and emerging African filmmakers. These films will reflect a range of genres, themes, and visual styles, allowing audiences to experience the vibrant tapestry of African cinema.
